The Fightzumi Showdown on June 15, 2024, was a night of unparalleled excitement and fierce competition, we had the honour of sponsoring event and supplying the show with array of custom gloves and standard competition gloves. Fans from all over the map lined up to witness this monumental event, which featured a series of highly anticipated matchups. From heavyweight clashes to thrilling undercard fights, the evening delivered unforgettable moments. Here are a select few fights that stood out to us on the build up and on the fight night.
King vs. Big Ish: The Heavyweight Main Event
The showdown between King and Big Ish was the marquee event of the night, drawing immense anticipation. Both fighters came in with the intentions to shake the league to the core. Both known for their strength and potential knockout power. The atmosphere was electric as the two heavyweights faced off and went head to head in an explosive bout! We also had the privilege of supplying both fighters with full custom kits! So good, that the kits impressed alot of people!
The result was Big ish taking the crown and defeating the notorious King. We were present with, checking on both fighters after the fight. It was truly a visual story, on one side the cheers and clapping echoing through the rooms and the sad silence of a defeated warrior.
Was a great fight on both sides and we look forward to supplying them the best kits in the business.
The Four-Man Tournament: A Battle of Endurance
The Four-Man Tournament was a test of endurance and skill, featuring four rising stars in the league. However, one fighter was unable to compete on the night so it meant 1 fighter was fast tracked to the final. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic spectacle of theatrics. In the four man tournament there was, Kieton the current WBU Welterweight champ, Tony Dragan, Kyle Rowe.
What made this extra was the kit theme Kieton chose for the last fight but will get onto that soon!
First fight was Kieton vs Tony, which ended in Kieton taking the fight on points. This was much to the disapproval of Tony who now is calling for a rematch!
The final was then Kieton Vs Kyle. Kieton had the arena in hysterics and surprise when he flew into the ring with the legendary themed custom for anime character "One punch man, Saitma". We had the privilege making his shorts and gloves for this fight and it was by far the highlight of the night!
In the end, Kieton had won the tournament, claiming him to be a x2 WBU Welterweight champion.
Lucy vs. Jasmine: The Women's Welterweight title Showdown
Lucy and Jasmine's fight was a showcase of speed, technique, and determination. Both fighters had a lot to prove and left everything in the ring! This one has been an ongoing feud who really is the victor. Both Ladies been making a name for them selves on the semi pro scene. So its only right they went head to head.
This being their 3rd time facing off and the final decider. We also had the honour of matching Lucy's gloves with her kit. which came out stunning! Unfortunatly, Lucy didn't take the win and Jasmine was crowned the champion their division.
Ashley Thompson vs. Liam Sayers : WBU middleweight title
Ash was due to fight another opponent but unfortunately dropped out last minute. But in legendary fashion, Fightzumi found a worthy opponent that could of been a major upset. Liam has been on the semi pro circuit for some time and has gained an impressive record and obtained 3 belts from around the country. So this was never going to be an easy fight! However Ash, showed his graft that night and made it a very difficult fight for Liam and resulted in Ash taking the victory. A very impressive fight and a boxers to look out for!
We also had the honour of making Ash his custom glove which turned out to be a smasher!
